In my not-yet-written post on Oktoberfest 2011, I'll talk about what we enjoyed and the intersection with what the girls enjoyed. But one non-intersection they did enjoy was Lebkuchenherzen. For myself, I find them inedible and I can't understand how the translation can be "Gingerbread Hearts" when the recipe has either no or very little ginger in it, but the girls not only liked looking at them but actually ate the small ones we had at the fair and later, the larger ones that we brought home.
I thought the one that said Kleine süße Mäuschen would be the most apposite, but T2 wanted the blue and green one.
